The house is located in Alaro, in the private estate of Son Borras, surrounded by the Tramuntana Mountains (World Heritage Site); it is a small mountain of centenary olive trees located just at the end of the village; in the center of the mountain is the house: all this guarantees you absolute privacy, silence and intimacy, and at the same time, a comfortable proximity to the village which is only 12 minutes walk from the main square.

The village of Alaró is one of the most interesting villages of the Sierra de Tramuntana. It is provided with supermarkets, exquisite bakeries -one of them only 5′ from the Son Borras estate- , restaurants , has an interesting flea market every Saturday in its main square , and is surrounded by nature. Its enclave, in the center of the island, facilitates quick access to any beach or place in Mallorca.

The house also has a work space and a wifi installation with 1 giga fiber that guarantees optimal navigation, the house thus becomes a perfect place to include teleworking during your stay. 

This wonderful newly renovated house consists of 6 bedrooms, 4 of them with their own bathroom and terrace, and a seventh multipurpose space next to the gym, with TV and sofas that offer an additional living space ideal for the youngest; the house has 3 dining rooms, one of them under a wisteria porch, 4 terraces, a large living room with fireplace, a dream kitchen equipped with barbecue, appliances and the latest generation appliances including a 4 m table and plenty of corners for young and old. The house includes 6 bathrooms and a guest toilet. The gym, much celebrated by new guests, offers you the possibility to continue your routine during the vacations; it also has a punching bag, ping pong table and dart boards …

In the wine cellar, located on floor -1 of the house, you will have at your disposal white and red wines from the cellar C’an Novell de Binisalem, as  well as oil produced on the estate of Son Borras, where the house is located. This house is ideal for families, groups of friends, hikers,  cyclists, retreats …; the dimensions of the house offer each member of the group the corner and the intimacy necessary for a perfect vacation !

Lighting fires is illegal due to the risk of forest fires in Mallorca during the Summer and can be punished with a prison sentence. The is a magnificent barbecue in the kitchen , right next to the large window that communicates with the dinning area of the porch, ideal for a safe barbecue !

It is not allowed the stay of more people in the house or in the pool, without the express written consent of the property according to the maximum capacity authorized by the government.

The owners of the house are not responsible for any damage to the persons or property of the house due to improper use or exceeding the permitted capacity limits.

ROOMS OF THE HOUSE

From the moment you enter the property through the automatic barrier at the main entrance, you have a small private mountain at your disposal.
In the lower part of the estate there is a small stone house for bicycle parking. Inside, as well as parking for bicycles, there is a small repair shop.
After 300 metres you will reach the house, situated in the middle of the property, with extraordinary views.

The house is arranged over 3 floors:

On the main floor you will find a large and extraordinary kitchen, it is equipped with kitchenware, appliances and utensils of last generation, space for cooking, barbecue, play corners for children, a table 4 m long, a sofa to share special moments, island ….The kitchen leads to the porch with another huge dining table under a wisteria vine and surrounded by garden, is one of the most charming corners of the house; The main living room accommodates up to 16 people, thanks to its spaciousness and comfortable seating that puts at your disposal, also offers a large fireplace and a large screen TV. The entire plant is surrounded by terraces, windows and light and nature enters in abundance. The entrance itself is a pleasant and attractive living space and includes a small office. The staircase is a plaster sculpture in itself. There is a guest toilet on this floor.

On the first floor there are 4 large bedrooms all of which have exceptional views of the village and the Tramuntana mountains. 2 of the bedrooms have private bathrooms and terraces, although there is a third bathroom on this floor. All the bedrooms are spacious, equipped with comfortable latex
mattresses and two pillows per bed of varying hardness for extreme comfort.

On the first floor you will find two other very spacious bedrooms with bathroom, bathtub, exit to private terrace, dressing room….;

The wine cellar, where you can buy red or white wine from the Ca’n Novell de Binisalem winery during your stay, as well as olive oil produced and bottled on the Son Borras estate itself, thanks to the olives from our own olive trees. The games area offers a multi-purpose room with comfortable
sofas and a large screen TV with channels that invites you to get together to watch TV, listen to music, or wait for your turn to play ping pong, next to the gym.

The gym is equipped with all the necessary equipment so that you can continue your workout during your holiday; it also has a punching bag, ping pong table and dart boards for young and old alike.

The solarium and swimming pool are simply amazing, the beauty and privacy of the surroundings is hard to describe; the pool dining area is set in the shade of an olive tree and is ideal for aperitifs and summer meals: in the kitchen there is pool equipment easy to transport so that you can enjoy this beautiful corner of the property.

MORE INFORMATION

If you like excursions I recommend you to go to the Castle of Alaro, you can go on foot from the house, or drive up to the restaurant “Es Verger”, which is halfway, park there and walk up. If you decide for this excursion do not forget to eat in Es Verger, they cook an exquisite kid and lamb!
Another essential excursion is the walk to the village of Orient, along the “cami de s’escaleta”. You can find this walking trail just 10 minutes from home, it is an incredible excursion! 

Another tip : a few minutes walk from home , down the slope of the street , there is a beautiful square : “plaza de Cabrit i Bassa” ; in this square is the restaurant “el trastero”, I recommend it ! All the dishes are delicious and the service is excellent; if you feel like having a cocktail that day, walk to the village square and a few meters away look for the cocktail bar Simons (the owners: Simon and Marion will give you a very nice time).

Don’t miss the Saturday market on the village square ! On that day it is a great idea to go for breakfast in the square, you can buy ensaimadas at Ca na Juanita (which is in the square) and have them in any café where you order a café con leche, they don’t mind if you bring the pastries !

If you want to buy bread or breakfast for every day , you have the bakery “Ca na Joaneineta” a few minutes walk from home , it’s a nice walk !

NEIGHBOURHOOD

The unique enclave of this property offers on the one hand absolute privacy, and on the other hand the convenience of walking to the village, given its proximity. It is a unique place to start excursions on foot or by bicycle. Personally I love to get up in the morning and go for breakfast at “Ca na Juaneineta”, which is only 5 minutes walk from the house (they have the best ensaimadas). You can also walk to any restaurant in the village,
I recommend you to walk 3 minutes to the Plaza Cabrit i Bassa, there you will find the restaurant : “El Trastero”, which offers very tasty dishes and a lovely atmosphere. Around the main square of the village there are also many restaurants. The supermarkets in the village are open until late in the evening and can be reached on foot from the house. The village of Alaró is one of the most attractive of the island, being in the centre and providing quick access to any beach. Do not hesitate to go to any beach in Mallorca, as from the location of the house there are no distances that can dissuade you. 5 km from Alaro is the village of Binisalem, famous for its wine cellars; if you are a lover of good wine, I suggest that you sign up for a visit. If you like excursions, be sure to go up to the castle of Alaró; I like to walk from the house, although you can also drive up to the restaurant “Es Verger”, and start the ascent to the castle from there. Of course, on the way back, a good lamb or kid is a must in the restaurant. The visit to the village of Orient is also obligatory, I encourage you to walk along the “Cami de s’escaleta”. One more thing, if you wish we can also cook for you, we have delicious menus of Mallorcan food for special dinners, even breakfasts for sportsmen. 

DISPLACEMENT

The village of Alaro, like Mallorca, does not have a good public transport network. If your option is to enjoy the house and the surroundings, you can travel to the house by taxi and move around on foot or by bicycle. All services are accessible on foot from the house, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, hiking …. However, if you want to go on an excursion to the beach you will need a car.
